WOPHA partnered with Faena Art to inaugurate Artist in Residence initiative
WOPHA / 11.12.2020
WOPHA partnered with Faena Art to activate a WOPHA support program by offering a studio space to Miami-based photographer Amanda Bradley as part of Faena’s inaugural Artist in Residence initiative. While in residence, the artist will continue her ongoing exploration of photography as a means of expanding time and space, questioning memory, identity, and belonging in the process.
Faena Art’s Artist in Residence program responds to the organization’s mission to foster and engage the local artistic community and support experimental art-making practices through this marked period of uncertainty.
Amanda Bradley is a Belizean-American artist based in Miami, Florida. She received a BFA in Photography from New World School of the Arts, and her work explores place and landscape as a means to connect and understand identity, belonging, histories, and relationships. Amanda has exhibited in Further than Memory, Intimate Distances (2019) at ArtMedia Gallery, Notices in a Mutable Terrain (2019) at Fundación Pablo Atchugarry, It will never become quite familiar to you (2019) at Oolite Arts, RCS: 76-100 (2019) at Swampspace Gallery, and In This Moment at PH21 Gallery in Budapest, Hungary.
